Color Blindness Test

What is a Color Blindness Test?
A color blindness test helps determine if you have a color vision deficiency. One of the most common tests is the Ishihara test, which consists of a series of images containing colored dots. These images contain numbers or patterns that only individuals with normal color vision can see clearly. This test primarily identifies red-green color blindness, the most common type.

How to Take the Test?
1. Find a Comfortable Spot: Sit in a well-lit environment with minimal glare.
2. View the Images Below: Each image contains a number or pattern. Try to identify the number or shape.
3. Answer the Questions: After viewing each image, select the number you see (or choose “No number” if none is visible).
4. Review Results: At the end of the test, you’ll receive an indication of whether you may have color vision deficiency.

Important: This test is not a substitute for a professional diagnosis. If you believe you have a color vision deficiency, consult an optometrist.

Start the Test:
Below are sample images from the Ishihara Color Blindness Test. Look closely at each image and identify the number:

Note: After completing the test, a brief explanation of your result will appear.

Understanding Your Results:

– Normal Color Vision: If you correctly identified most of the numbers, your color vision is likely normal.
– Color Vision Deficiency: If you had difficulty identifying the numbers, you may have a color vision deficiency.

This simple screening can give you an indication of your color perception abilities. However, for a detailed diagnosis, always consult an eye care professional.
